Dr Halil Bey Mansion Conservation Projects

Survey studies and restitution projects were prepared in order to determine the grade degree of the listed three-storey wooden mansion. The mansion was built in 1908 and consists of the ground, first, and attic floors. The house was built with timber-framed construction on the masonry basement walls. And the plan scheme of the mansion represents a typical sample of Turkish house plan type with an inner sofa. The building, which is used as an office today, preserving its authenticity, and stands out with its original wooden architectural elements such as wooden parquets, wooden ceiling coverings, wooden guillotine windows, and wooden facade decoration elements.
